Greece's in love with Japan and wants to enter a relationship with him. However, he learns that Japan's asexual. Not "I've never had sex but I'm just waiting for the right person to introduce me to it" asexual, but really, truly asexual, with him having remained a virgin for so long not out of extreme repression but a complete lack of sexual drive, and things like his 'porn stash' and occasional reference to 2-D being done to hide this because he knows that being a closet pervert draws far less attention from the other nations than having no sex drive to speak of.
Instead of trying to "change" or "cure" Japan of his asexuality, however, Greece turns out to be very accepting and understanding of this. Sure, he'd have loved to get horizontal with Japan, but it's the quiet and emotionally intimate moments that he values the most with him. And they end up forming and maintaining a genuinely romantic relationship anyway, because romance =/= sex and just because Japan's asexual doesn't mean that he can't love Greece emotionally and deeply. Which he really, truly does.
tl;dr -- Japan's asexual, but that doesn't stop him and Greece from having a non-sexual romantic relationship.
Bonus: Japan actually tries to get into having sex with Greece at first because he believes that he needs to put up with sex to have any shot at a relationship with the other nation or that he should want to have sex with the one he loves, before Greece catches on to his asexuality. Bonus 2: Greece has physical relations with others (#1 in frequency of sex and all that), but that doesn't bother Japan as he knows that their relationship will always be the most emotionally strong and meaningful one they have.

Rising popularity of asexuality is kind of funny on a kink meme... And I hope we get more fills for all those requests because I would love to read it.

Asexual!America OP wants to thank you for that, actually. I'd wanted to see it for a while, but didn't know if it'd be alright until I saw some others popping up ^^'
And I think it's a really interesting part of sexuality to explore, because it is very real, and deserves some attention. So, again, much thanks.
You definitely have, and I'm glad because it really is something new and interesting to think about. And I realized that it'd make for one hell of a spin on my OTP, so why not make another request about it? :)
