Re: Meeting the Family 2b/? anonymous December 12 2009, 04:36:34 UTC
Why was the git so attractive like this? For God's sake, Alfred was cooing (COOING) over the baby in his arms, and damn if Arthur didn't find it appealing, doubly so because of the (slightly burt) grilled cheeses in front of him had been made just for him.

But damn if the other two didn't agree.

Arthur scowled, running his hand through his hair. Ivan was watching his former colony (HIS damn it all, HIS) with a dazed lovey-dovey look on his face. ... Well, as lovey-dovey as someone like Russia could manage. Which was more of a stalker-like look than Arthur was comfortable with.

... He sure as hell hoped HE didn't look like that right now...

Switzerland, on the other hand, was pointedly looking away, grumbling under his breath. This wouldn't have bothered Arthur; Switzerland tended to do the same thing in most of the world meetings (though he always seemed to be glaring at Alfred or Japan). However, Arthur had noticed the brief blush that spread over the neutral nation's face as he'd watched Alfred cook. Having spent so much of his life (regrettably) with France, Arthur knew what an innocent blush looked like and what a BLUSH looked like.

And that was NOT an innocent blush.

Feeling his eyebrow twitch, Arthur firmly pushed any unprofessional thoughts regarding Alfred to the back of his mind. They were here for a reason damn it! But...

"Care to explain the horde kids around here America?" he asked, poking at his grilled cheese. He didn't need to look up to know that Alfred was glaring daggers at his back.

... that shouldn't have been as much of a turn on as it was.
_____

Alfred picked Hannah up, settling the two year-old on his hip as he scowled at Iggy. "No." He turned back to the stove, angrily flipping one of the grilled cheeses (he'd already made one for each of them; one of the benefits of a large pan. Still, nations ate a lot. ... And he kinda liked cooking for people...).

"Excuse my French, but its none of your damn business. I don't snoop around your private life. And we all know THAT'S ten times more interesting then whatever I'm up to." Putting down his spatula, Alfred moved Hannah to his other hip, looking over his shoulder to scowl at Arthur.

"I think it would be best for you to tell us why you have these children." Switzerland's voice was harsh, and Alfred fleetingly remembered the large gun the smaller nation was carrying on his back. "They seemed quick to accept us as nations..."

Tilting his head in acknowledgement, Alfred idly offered a hand to his baby girl, grinning softly when she squeezed and shook it. "Its still personal, you understand." (Glareglareglare) "... but I guess you're right..."

Nodding Mrs. Brown over (the only nanny half as good as Liet) Alfred carefully transferred Hannah over to the woman, giving the girl's curls a small peck (he could feel the nations staring at him again...).

Once Mrs. Brown had taken Hannah out of the proverbial firing range, Alfred switched off the stove, dumped the now finished grilled cheeses on the 'good' (if somewhat worn) china, and spun around, plate in one hand, pan in the other. After throwing the pan into the sink, he headed over to the island counter in the middle of his kitchen; aka the current location of three very peeved countries.

Ceremoniously dropping the plate on the counter (possibly adding another crack to the plates numerous 'battle' wounds) he yanked the nearest stool over to him and sat down. Settled, he grabbed a grilled cheese and began his explanation.

Re: Meeting the Family 2c/? (sorry for my fail at labeling; the one above is 2c) anonymous December 12 2009, 04:54:45 UTC
"A few years ago, when Lithuania was still living with me, all my states were living here. Recently though, they've built their own houses in their own states and now I'm all alone is this too big house! Err... I was." Alfred shrugged. "But my boss at the time (I think it was thirty years ago) mentioned that with all the orphans running around in need of a good home, it might be a good idea for me to adopt one or two. You know, help myself and someone else?

So I did. But two kids aren't the same as fifty. It got lonely again and... well, I adopted again." Alfred casually pulled the crust off his grilled cheese. "I've been doing it for awhile; it keeps this place happy. I've got nine living with me right now, but there were ten others before them. They've all got jobs of their own now. Or they're in college. It depends.

My oldest is Lance, Jon (no h), Kaleb, Georgie, Marissa, Hannah, Lucy, Mark, and my baby-baby, Bruce. And... those are my kids."

Again, sorry for the bad labeling. I suck at fill-details. :( I know there's a few grammar mistakes here and there in both, and a bit of mis-spelling, but I haven't really written anything since... well since June. I don't have English this semester and its starting to show... -_-,

I'll do Ivan's view next. It's a bit difficult for me, so I kinda skipped it... :P But its not fair that only Vash and Arthur get to oggle Alfred! *pats Russia on the back*
