Short part is short... OTL Writernon apologizes. Hopefully this is going the way OP wanted though! Next part should be up soon.
*1523 AD* Francis was back again, gazing in rapture at the beautiful angel. He had long forgotten about all of the other scenes on the ceiling. He would much rather spend his time staring in wonder at that beautiful angel. Although truthfully, there was not anything particularly striking about the angel at all. The angel was handsome, true enough. But not heart-achingly so. He had blond hair that seemed as silky as Francis’ own. It looked like puréed gold. And there was this little curl that fell right in the middle of his forehead, ever so enticingly. His eyes were an unearthly shade of blue-violet. Francis felt himself melt when he stared into those eyes, and all the world became that same shade of eerie indigo. His nose was small, but not too small, and his lips were just the perfect shade of red. His body was well built, but not overly muscular, and he seemed more long and gangly than most of the other angels. The angel was handsome indeed. Francis turned his gaze away from the ceiling when he heard a noise behind him. Romano had returned, and was glaring at him slightly. “Don’t you have your own churches, big brother?” “Oui. I do, but none are so beautiful as your Michelangelo’s work.” Romano smiled rather proudly at that. Francis decided to press his advantage. “Tell me, chérie, do these angels have names?” “Of course they do.” “Surely someone like you would know all of their names… Do you?” “Yes, do you want me to name them all for you?” “What a wonderful idea! That would be splendidé! “Okay... Here is Michael, and Gabriel.” Romano pointed upwards to a pair of angels guarding another scene. Francis nodded, trying to look patient. “Camael, Elemiah, Gavreel, and Raphael” He pointed to the next group of angels. “Nathaniel, Jehoel, Lailah, and Matthew” Romano finally pointed up to Francis’ golden-haired beauty. “Ahh… Le ange Mathieu.” Francis whispered. Romano was oblivious to his enraptured delight, and continued naming all of the angels. When he had finished, Francis wrapped the boy in his arms and held him tight. Then he sent him away, promising to visit again. This seemed to mollify Romano, though he realized he was being kicked out of his own church. So, he left Francis to his gazing without another word. After Francis had studied Mathieu for another hour, he left, calling out a goodbye. “A bientôt, mon Ange. Until we meet again…”
Captcha says "Butlers clothing" I think it's trying to give a hint for the next part! *wink wink*

I like the buildup you're doing before the character interaction between Matthew and Francis.
I would just like to fix three thing really quickly: splendidé doesn't need the accent over the last e, it can be just splendide. Le ange should be l'ange, as in French you don't usually have two vowels in front of one another.
Only things I really wanted to point out but I do enjoy it~

Eeee really loving how you're handling Romano and France in this fill! I don't see a lot of interaction between them very often... Also, I loved the lines after Romano realized he'd been cussing in a church XD
Can't wait for an update! (and for Matty to appear)
