Winter, Snow and Warmth [1/?]

I found this, and died, because it sounds so cute. I really want to fill it. But I'm sort of afraid that I won't finish this, or this will be really bad. So I have posted this as a sort of prologue, and have a few ideas for what will happen, but I would love some feedback! This was written quickly, so please excuse any grammatical errors!
And the Russian - the very basics, from what I have taught myself, please correct me! - is this: Пётр - Pyotr, Russian equivalent if Peter. Привэт - Privet, Hello! Как дэла? - Kak dela? How are you? Булат - Bulat, another Russian name.
Hope you will enjoy it!
Russia heaved the huge ball of snow towards him, then attempted to pick it up and heft it into place on top of his friend's body.
He was already thinking of a name.
Eventually, he decided to roll it up the body to place the head upon it, and after some effort, managed to do so. He sat down next to the snow child, and pursed his lips while breathing out, sending wisps of condensed air swirling away from him.
"Пётр. I like that name. Do you? He turned to the snow child which was a little taller than he was when standing, and imagined it nod.
"Good! Привет, Пётр! Как дэла?" He smiled, knowing the child was well from the small nod he received. He turned to his other side, where another snow child sat, pensive.
"Привэт, Булат! What are you thinking about today?"
Spring, he replied. It shall be upon us soon, little Russia. No matter how loyal I am or wish to be, you know very well that we cannot stay over summer. The days are already getting longer, my dear Russia...
The small Russian frowned. Why was winter over so soon? It was always not warm, but snow only appeared from the skies for 8 months! He had to survive, lonely and not warm, for 4 months, without the hope of any friends other than his sisters. They were going to come to his house today though...
"Never mind that, Булат! Ukraine and Bela are coming today! Isn't that nice! Although... Sister won't be happy if she finds me out here without my hat again. But it gets too hot! When I'm here having fun with my friends, I get this warm fuzzy feeling... You get it too, right? Isn't it nice, isn't it? And then I don't need my hat. So it's fine."
Russia felt his two friends nod with him, and a grin worked it's way onto his face. He began to laugh, filled with an unknown feeling that made him want to hug someone, and laugh with them, grinning until his face hurt. So he flung his arms around Пётр and laughed and grinned until he got sleepy and drifted off, accompanied to the echoes of laughter ringing around him. Summer seemed so far away...

Poor lonely Russia. ;_;
I'm proud of myself - I recently bought a book called "Russian for Dummies" and I knew what Как дэла meant and how to pronounce it, without looking at your notes beforehand :D

He needs a hug, like right now.
This is such a great heartbreaking start, I am almost afraid to read the next chapter because it's probably going to kill me with sad face Russia :(
