Alfred entered the school warily, glancing over at the offices to his right. He spotted his daughter quickly, catching the pale blonde hair and walking into the office. “Eleanor. Tatiana. Braginski-Jones.”
She glanced over, blue eyes wide behind her glasses, a nervous smile pulling at her lips. “Hi, Daddy.”
“Don’t you ‘hi, Daddy’ m-”
“Mr. Jones?” The principal interrupted, stepping forward and beckoning. “If I could see you both in my office.”
He nodded and glanced back at his daughter, eyes narrowing. “Just wait until your Nana hears about this.”
Elly pouted slightly, standing and walking after her principal. She flopped into one of the chairs, scowling out the window opposite of her. “I don’t see why Nana needs to know.”
“Oh, he’ll know.” Alfred made a mental note to call Ivan while they were driving home. He paused then decided to wait until he and Elly were at home to call him. No need causing Ivan to go into senseless violence so quickly. “What exactly did Eleanor do, Mrs.-” He paused, glancing down at the nameplate. “Cox?”
The woman sighed, picking up the folder on her desk and looking at the referral. Referrals. “It seems that your daughter has a long history of fights with other students. We are willing to overlook these, considering the fact that she was hit first in the . . . Majority of the fights.” Her lips pursed tightly as she looked over the top of the folder at Alfred. “But I was not aware that she argued with teachers so severely.”
“. . . Teachers?” Alfred asked, sitting up. “Elly doesn’t fight with her teach-”
“Well, I’m sure she hasn’t informed you of this,” At this, Mrs. Cox cast a disapproving look over at the fifteen-year-old girl who stared back evenly, even going as far as to start grinning like her Nana. “but she’s been arguing with her World History teacher since the beginning of the semester.”
“The semester?” Alfred glanced over at his daughter, confused. Elly had always been quick to argue with someone, but usually she bit her tongue with her teachers. At least until she got home and complained to her Daddy about how her teachers just didn’t understand.
“We started World War II history.” Elly grumped, slumping in her chair. “And Mr. Richards is always insulting the Russians.”
“And your attitude with your teacher became worse as the semester has continued.” Mrs. Cox snapped at her, immediately setting off Alfred’s “Daddy-alarm”.
“Don’t take that tone with my daughter.” He commented sharply, glaring at the woman.
“That’s because we started the Cold War and he just has to insult Russia all of the time! He doesn’t know anything about Russo-American relations!” Elly argued, sitting up and glaring at the principal.
‘She only says that because she is a Russo-American relation.’ Alfred thought briefly. “Mrs. Cox, maybe I can explain this. Elly’s Nana is Russian, so she’s going to be sensitive to the criticisms of her teacher.”
“Her grandmother has noth-”
“My Nana is my father!” Elly snapped, shocking the older woman. She sunk back in her chair and started muttering in Russian, prompting Alfred to glance at her warningly.
The woman gaped at Alfred wordlessly, her confusion and disapproval seeping into the air until even he could sense it.
“We’ll just see ourselves out.” He smiled and reached over, pulling Elly up and leading her out of the school. “So the teacher didn’t know anything, huh?”
“Daddy.” She started seriously, turning and looking at him over her square-rim glasses. “The man knows nothing about history. He tried to tell us that Russia willingly accepted Belarus.” She folded her arms over her chest, rolling her eyes. “And we all know that Nana would never willingly be in the same room as Tyotya Natasha.”
Alfred stared at her, then laughed, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close for a hug. “Right.” He laughed again and released her. “Let’s go get some McDonald’s and look for another school for you.”

I love your Alaska! (I'm pretty sure it's Alaska....) She's so... what's the word I'm looking for...? She's got both of her parents' manner and attitude, I'm impressed that you could do that! :D Congrats! lol I got annoyed at the principal's reaction to her having two dads. Jerk. Also, lol at Eleanor correcting the teacher xD

It's actually 'Papa' the P sound in Cyrillic is just demonstrated with a blocky character similar to the Latin N since the Cyrillic Character P is the letter B in English.
