God Bless America [1C/?]

The Alfred here was still his Alfred, the one he raised from childhood, only, well... one half of it. During the Civil War, he... split, per say - personality wise, of course. They were essentially the same person with differing beliefs is all.
When the other Alfred won, the Confederate side of him won, Arthur never heard from the Union side of him again. It wasn't unpleasant talking to him. His idealistic belief of freedom and equality was charming, really. If he could, he'd like to talk to him again.
But as a nation, he knows that when one side of the Civil War loses, that other personality disappears. It's quite a shame, really, the Union side had so much potential. At least, Arthur hopes, he is in a good place now.
Well, he certainly seems peachy when Arthur opens his eyes and sees Alfred in a bathrobe, picking out clothes in an unfamiliar dresser... and an unfamiliar room.
( W-Wow. I really shouldn't be filling right now. I have so many fills to finish already. ;A; But. ffff. This just BECKONED AT ME, and... uh, yeah, this one came to birth. I hope it holds potential, and meets up to that!
I kind of had fun writing Other World!Arthur though. >A> If it's not obvious already, he has Stockholm Syndrome. I hadn't planned to admit it openly, but I didn't want to confuse anyone. And yes, Other World!Alfred is the Confederate Alfred. In other words, the Alfred we know had lost the Civil War. 8'( Just so you know, I love Alfred, okay? /bawww
Also, some name clearing up!
Elisa - Portugal Ceri - Wales Lasair - Northern Ireland Maon - Scotland
Sorry, I hadn't actually STUDIED into their cultures to seriously find a important historical figure of their times to name them after, as most Hetalia characters, but I have homework after this, and they probably won't play the biggest role, I think. idek.

Anon, I have chills. Chills. Your depiction of England with Stockholm Syndrome is enough to make me want to read moar, to say nothing about how awesome the rest of it is. Some of the descriptions made we want to cry for England for some reason, like the silk and velvet sheets and the roses and gothic gates.
Please, keep up the awesome work anon. I think I shall go reread this once or twice.

This is such an intriguing premise, anon. My heart broke a little bit for the two of them when I learned about the crucial difference/turning point between normal!Alfred and yandere!Alfred. I'm dying to find out what happens next with alternateworld!Arthur and ourworld!Alfred, and maybe also what happens when alternateworld!Alfred finds that his Arthur has changed in personality overnight.
When the other Alfred won, the Confederate side of him won, Arthur never heard from the Union side of him again. It wasn't unpleasant talking to him. His idealistic belief of freedom and equality was charming, really. If he could, he'd like to talk to him again.
