All of the Nations in the universe of World War Z, fighting the zombie plague. With most of them losing or being drastically altered. Bonus points for:
1- The changes that the Nations undergo as a result of the war, such as Russia going back to being a religious theocracy, China switching to democracy with a vastly decreased population, the capital of the US being moved to Hawaii, etc, being shown or implied. At least a little. 2- One of the Nations being infected. AKA- Zombie nation. It could be any of them, but preferably one of the ones hit hardest by the plague, such as Iceland or Japan. But take your pick, anything really works. 3- Hero!Canada. Since a good chunk of Canada is cold and not good for zombies, Canada would probably be taking in refugees and fighting. And saving America's ass, since he didn't do so well. 4- If you wanna show America getting his butt handed to him by the zombies, that'd be cool too. D: I do like America, but sometimes it's fun to see the hero fail and then angst about it. 5- Any and all pairings go, at least to a minimum degree. :D But anon is partial to Russia/Canada, hint hint.
D: I'm sorry if I inadvertently spoiled this book for anybody, but....you should go read it. It's awesome.

It's been a long time since I updated this site! I'm so glad to be back! ヽ(´▽`)/
My evacuation boat got into a little trouble leaving, but we made it to the Pacific Continent, so it was fine.
Regrettably, on the way back home, a siafu attacked me. It broke my dominant wrist, so the quality of art suffers. I promise to redraw it when I feel better. (ΘεΘ;)
A/N: This is the excuse as to why my crappy art is full of crap. >.>;;
Zack has a bad habit of biting people. He's a bad guy in general.
Fortunately, it takes more than a few bites to infect a nation, as Grandpa Rome says.
■ The Great Panic ■
No one (except Isreal) prepared for the spread of the undead virus. In the beginning, everyone was scared and either fought or ran.
America lost much confidence, by first discovering that a Solanum vaccine they had was fake, and then losing a big battle at Yonkers, New York. Iceland quickly succumbed to Zack, leaving a country of only siafu.
There is no movement or communication from North Korea. Some say the population went underground - and others say they are all dead.
It is very mysterious.

A/N: I can't do it. Draw, that is. I've decided to finish this off with a skill I'm much more comfortable with - writing. I've only just realized what my idea is probably only loosely related with OP's request, so, I'm sorry! ^^; Hidekaz leaned back in his chair, staring intently at his screen and cringing at every shaky line his left hand had made. He gave a final sigh before relenting to his gut and posting the new update on his site.
Between his desire to have the perfect artwork and the desire to connect, the latter won out. Himayura Hidekaz wanted to know which of his friends and fans were still alive and to let them know that he was, at least, physically unharmed from the war.
He looked at the cast on his right wrist with a rueful smile. Well, almost. If he hadn't been so excited to see his first glimpse of Japan in years and realized that the boat was in shallow waters, Hidekaz wouldn't have been grabbed by that siafu. He knew it was a careless mistake - that he was lucky the boat's Shield Society escort had chopped off the siafu's head before it did more damage; lucky that a former medical student was on board to temporarily set his wrist until they could get to the hospital.
He was allowed time off from his war job (drawing diagrams and illustrations for army manuals and public awareness brochures) and that gave him the chance to clean out his apartment. It was mostly dusty as he had left before the siafu swarmed the city, but it still took a lot of energy and work to clean with only one usable hand. Tired but satisfied, he reminisced about days spent concentrating solely on his webcomics.
They would no doubt be demoted to merely a hobby from now on. While it was fun to do, it didn't really help his country in any tangible way and he did not have the skill other artists had with raising the morale of the people with their work.
Checking and re-checking the locks on his front door, Hidekaz set his self-defense weapon beside him on his nightstand and shut off the lamp. The night pulsed quietly with the sound of music and lights still shined from other apartments. People were still celebrating the return of 24-hour electricity.
After what seemed like an eternity of staring at his ceiling and trying to ignore his itchy cast, he gave up and turned the light back on. His sketchbook would help to calm him down, even if his drawings would be atrocious until his wrist healed.

Carefully and slowly, he traced eight boxes on a blank page, ending up with two columns of four. Hidekaz grimaced again as he tried to draw China sputtering at Hong Kong's accusations and found his left hand refused to move in the way he wanted it to. He decided he'd redraw this later as well and his lines became looser as wrote "I-It's not all my fault! I wasn't the only one who kept a Zack. What about Russia?!" into a speech bubble. He drew Yao vaguely pointing at the barely recognizable figure of Ivan.
"Oh?" the messy close-up of Ivan said mildly in the next panel, the new cross necklace swinging from his neck. "I never let any of mine escape and get away with it. Besides, I didn't capture it like you, I merely took it from Japan."
Hidekaz scowled at the tiny blob in the background that was supposed to be a shocked Kiku and hurriedly moved down to the next panel.
A sweating Kiku leaned back from Yao's words of "I got my Zack from Japan too! He tried to attack me with them!"
"How unexpectedly bloodthirsty, Japan," Ivan breathed into a horrified Kiku's ear in the column's last box. "Perhaps I should let you become one with the Holy Russian Empire first ..."
'Maybe I should give Ivan a rock instead of a pipe. It's more appropriate with that whole anti-mutiny thing Russia had going on with his soldiers,' Hidekaz thought to himself, scribbling nearly illegible facts about the "Cherry Blossom" and "Strugeon" projects, as well as the "Isle of the Damned", underneath the comic. He also added a few things about the formation of the Holy Russian Empire, scratching out a rough sketch of Father Segei Ryzhkov holding a smoking gun and Ivan looking on admiringly behind him.
Finding himself relaxing even more as he added 'moooooan' in every available space of the finished panels to symbolize the unrelenting cries of the siafu.
Hidekaz's eyelids drooped to half-mast when he traced out Kiku's crying face as he held out a tanto. "I-I'm deeply sorry! I will commit seppuku to cleanse myself of the dishonor I committed against the world!!" the drawing said shakily on the page. This felt really wrong.
Yes, Japan had the highest suicide rate during the war, but ... this was reminding him far too much of the oba-san next door, who had hung herself when she heard Osaka had fallen to the saifu and her remaining family was most likely dead.
He crossed out that panel and drew another one beside it, making an arrow to three below to indicate continuation.

"Hey, did the moans just stop?" Sealand asked in the new panel, coming out of his hiding place behind England. Hidekaz had heard a little while ago that the royal family there had joined the refugees of the United Kingdom when it became clear that they couldn't hole up on their platform principality. They didn't have nearly enough food.
England looked just as surprised as Sealand. France stood to the side, beginning to say shout "H-HEY-!"
"-ZACK AND HIS UNDERLINGS ARE DEAD!" he finished in the next panel, which was a long shot of black figures standing on a rooftop, surrounded by other figures lying on the ground.
"They're not dead, they're frozen, you git!" Hidekaz wrote England to say. His impatience to get to the punchline was leaving his messy drawings even messier. They were one step above stick figures at this point.
In the next panel, he drew one of the black figures murmuring, "But, what did this? It's not even that cold ..." Two of the figures in the faceless crowd were noticeably shaking as a large black boot stomped down to take up a third of the same panel.
Hidekaz quickly drew one more panel to the side of the last one, putting arrows where appropriate to show the flow of the comic. He grinned as he slashed the panel diagonally with his pencil, drawing a terrified Matthew on one side of the line and a practically sobbing Ivan on the other, both being lifted up and away by mysterious gloved hands.
The very last panel had a completely flabbergasted crowd of nations staring at a murderous-looking General Winter. He held the traumatized Russia and Canada to him closely and said, in very rough lettering that Hidekaz was kinda proud of, "Nobody f*cks with my territory but me."
