1. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to write about for my Oral Narrative and the Folktale final paper. i have a book entitled "from beowulf to beatles and beyond." blanking on the author's name, but it's all about linking song lyrics and poems and such as part of one storytelling thread. pretty cool, actually.

I like the idea of looking at storytelling in popular music. I mean, if I'm going to write 20 pages on something for this god-awful class, I might as well do something interesting, right? I looked up that book, the author is (I think) David Pichaske. He's written some interesting stuff on music criticism that I'm going to take a look at. Thanks for the rec!
