Why This Must Be Read: Lady Jaye and Flint is one of my earliest ships. And while I'm not normally a fan of journal-style prose, this sucker works. It takes a bit to pick up, but the author does a great job of respecting the constraints of the style and still managing to tell a really good story. I love the Lady Jaye and the Flint backstory we get, along with the character development. They aren't perfect stories, but they're engaging, gripping reads and I'm really sad that the second was never finished!
