I tend to have to do themed sets of recs for The X-Files because I have hundreds of stories saved and it’s difficult to choose. The other night I re-read the first story in this set and it gave me the idea to rec my favourites from the Biogenesis arc.

I just adore Silence Waiting. The way JET writes Mulder and Scully, especially Mulder, is just beautiful. I love the angst he has for Scully, wanting to hear her, morning the loss of that insight while gaining knowledge of her, more than he's ever had. And I totally agree about Gretta and Fredrick; the reader is able to empathize with them, which can be hard for a writer to achieve when creating original characters in the same universe as M&S.

Bookmarking the other two recs for later!
