One of several excellent fanfics dealing with AWE and its aftermath. I particularly love this one because it doesn't gloss over Elizabeth and all that time waiting, while still show-casing her extraordinary strength. Jack's appearance (and his pitch-perfect voice) is another plus, because this author's grasp of dialogue is extraordinary.

Well the author's prose is a very good reason. There's something smooth but rich and full of imagery in the way she crafts her sentences. The story is told in short snap-shots, one per year, but somehow it captures the epic range of emotions and plots and adventures of PotC, while still giving it so much heart.
