Fandom: Silmarillion
Pairing: original female character/Elros
Title: Choice of Elros
Author: LalaithEllerina
Rating/Warnings: T, a little angst, potential sexual assault used as an early plot device

Why this must be read: Because it gives a very thoughtful contribution to the fandom that explores, really, what it means to be half-elven, and what it means to be of the race of men in the Tolkien sense. It's about love and family. The only critique I have is that even though the author built up this very sexy tension between the characters, she literally used a flower-blooming metaphor for their wedding night sex. If you can insert your own fade-to-black, I promise it's a very good fic, and a very easy to read one, especially for a Silmarillion fanfic. Very low bar-to-entry here.

Why this must be read: This is an innovative fic, written in a completely different style than most. Journal style entries, believable love story. Truly a wonder.

Why This Must Be Read: It's an epic of epic proportions. It's almost too long. And it's worth every single stinking minute you're going to spend reading it. It's probabaly the best of the "10th Walker" LOTR fandom trope.
I haven't used LJ in years, hopefully I didn't mess this up too badly. Sorry mods!
