Why This Must Be Read: This was a yuletide gift for me a couple of years ago, and it ended up being my favorite gift fic I've ever gotten. I'd been wanting to read about what it must have been like for Pol and Durnik after they first got together for over twenty years, and this satisfied my longing. It really touched my heart.
