Why This Must Be Read: I’m all for slow burns and damaged people coming together and maybe, just maybe finding a bit of light in each other, and this fic ticks all my boxes. It’s a natural continuation of the show - Karen is still actively challenging every bad guy out there, article by article, and The Punisher is still killing people by his weird honor code - but they are given room to breathe, to become more themselves and less, and it is so, so good.
“You know, I’ve been wondering about that,” he says, after another pause. “Wondered if you had some kinda saviour complex or something, but you, you’re not like Red. Not really. You’ve done things, you know it, you’re wondering what it means and what it makes you and, maybe, you saw that in me, too.”
