Why This Must Be Read: I have enjoyed tumblr-watching the Missandei/Grey Worm romance and think it's SUPER CUTE. This is a great modern AU that doesn't avoid the whole "castration" issue; in this story Grey loses his junk when he's injured in Afghanistan and he and Missandei have to figure out what their future is going to look like when he comes back from overseas. This is a beautiful story.

Why This Must Be Read: Every once in a while, I check back into the Criminal Minds fandom to see if Morgan and Garcia are married yet, AND THEY STILL AREN'T, WHY????? Sigh, this is why we have fanfiction. This fic is an AU where Garcia owns a cafe and bakery that the BAU members like to frequent. One day Derek Morgan comes in and he and Penelope immediately strike up a flirtation. I love how even though she isn't a member of their team, Garcia still manages to be their heart and supports them the best way she can with baked goods and kind words. And at least in this story, Derek sees sense and decides to go for it with Garcia, unlike the canon *pointed glare*

Why This Must Be Read: Morgan has a habit of coming over once a month, needy and reeking of sex, and Garcia lets him in to use her shower, eat dinner, and cuddle on the couch watching TV while she knits. She figures out that he has a monthly date for wildly kinky sex and he comes to her when he "drops." Somehow though, Morgan doesn't seem to realize that they're having a full on adult relationship (minus the sex) and Garcia tries her best to move on despite being utterly in love with him. I love this series. We know Garcia is Derek's solace and even though it's EXCEEDINGLY frustrating to see him be so blind, it's very satisfying when he finally buys a clue.

Why This Must Be Read: Oh gosh...this pairing is my stealth OTP and I do not have words to describe how much I adore this story. Capheus asks Sun for fighting lessons. And the thing is, when you're hopping in and out of each other's bodies and sharing sensations, sometimes things get a little...heated. I love the gradual burn of their attraction, the realization of their feelings, the way the rest of their Cluster tries to check in on them. This is a beautifully written story, filled with so much yearning and tenderness and sensuality. There's also a multivoice podfic of this story here.
