Why This Must Be Read: Diaphenia, in addition to being one of my best friends, writes the antagonistic relationship between Dan and Amy so beautifully. I think I only had to pressure her into writing this one for about an hour before she did it? It’s truly remarkable how she’s managed to capture the magic from the veep-verse and bring it through to five different universes, so many what-ifs. Also, Dan and Amy stuck on a freaking boat.

Why This Must Be Read: So apparently I didn’t realize this until doing these recs, but I have A Thing for eloping. If there were two characters in fiction who would do this, Amy and Aaron would be at the top of the list. The As get together and feel *real* to me, which...I love. Diaphenia writes dialogue like nobody I’ve ever read in my life, and there are these conversations where they’re doing bits that feel like I might have them with someone I know, and it just feels *good.*

Why This Must Be Read: I love stories like this: they’re easy to digest, they feel like I’m just seeing a snippet of a couple’s life together. Peggy and Stan were so inevitible, I think, that I was afraid it would never happen. This fic shows how apprehensive and tentative (and also how NOT apprehensive or at all tentative) a relationship between people who know each other so well can be.
