In which quel cries in the middle of yoga class
So, lightning speed update: Friday = meet guests (see below two entries) at Sofitel hotel, swim in loverly pool (everyone else swam, I continued in my loserly cocoon practice, only instead of wrapping myself up, I just kept all my clothes on to begin with. Received many strange looks; was at poolside wearing jeans and sweating bullets in heat). Went to eat Cuban food at a restaurant, went to Lincoln Road and window-shopped, hung out, snacked.
Saturday = South Beach, then adults went out and I was on babysitting duty (see below entry). Wanted to take them to Cocowalk as an excuse to see a movie, but exit plan failed. Survived anyway.
Sunday = Venetian Pool, barbecue. Nick finally freaked a lifeguard out with his floating ways, it was hilarious. Lifeguard started whistling insanely. I heard, looked up at him, laughed, shook Nick to get head out of water and look alive. Lifeguard clutched heart. Very very funny.
Today, nervous breakdown in yoga (weird, that's like, the opposite of what is supposed to happen). Beach with Gene and sister (bastards, dragging me out when emotionally unstable...). No idea what guests are doing. *shrug*
Oooo! Good news! I'm GOING somewhere! Yes, at long last, I'm leaving this dreaded city for two-hour car rides (are long car rides the pimpest thing on the planet or WHAT?), beautiful beaches, family-owned hotels, snorkeling, card playing, widescreen TVs that my mother forbids us to turn on throughout the duration of our trip! OH I'm leaping with joy.
...We're staying there two days. TWO DAYS! One night. Two days. Out of two months.
Sanibel Island sounded... ALMOST perfect. *sigh*

03. Favorite movie you own: Moulin Rouge, Emma, Legally Blonde
