Why does everything go wrong when you can least afford it? What's that? Something called Murphy's Law? Oh, right. That. So, after years of loyal service, the hot water heater finally decided to pass on. Won't be able to get one until, what, February or something. Maybe mid January if I'm lucky. Then there's the million and one small things that have also decided to go wrong at once. Small things like broken handles and peeling paint that alone don't amount to much, but combined, is a different story.
Oh, well, at least it wasn't something more important, like the furnace. << >>. Hope I didn't just jinx myself. Can't complain much, though. I still got my house and some amount of income. Something I am insanely grateful for.
Apparently, I at least don't have to worry about my dogs starving should they ever get loose. 'Cause they caught a very big rabbit. The only reason I noticed is because the Dachshund just trotted past my window with the rabbit's head in his mouth. *gets boots on and checks the scene out* Well, the entire thing is gone and only a little bit of fur is left. *lets the dogs in**has a bad feeling about this*
*short while later**sigh* I was right, one wasn't quite able to keep their meal down. Though, considering it's the Dachshund that ate the head, I'm not entirely surprised, especially since he's the youngest and not use to what one would call people food let alone raw foods. Now I have the fantastic job of cleaning up semi digested fur and brains. Wonderful.
Seems to have tired them out. All three of them (Dachshund, Beagle and German Sheppard) are curled up together in front of the heat duct. 'Bout ready to join them, myself. Most of the snow out back is at least knee deep while parts of it are past my hips.
