so i watched the republican national convention tonight.

it was acceptance speech night. man. i think even if i were a republican after watching that i would switch my party, or kill myself in shame. big dubya wasnt even the main problem. he just kinda rambled like he always does, and his speech was basically a duplicate of his state of the union earlier this year (which i did a nice spoof of if you care to read). anyway, the real problem was patanki, i think thats how you say his name, the govenor of new york. he started out strong using the death of thousands to his parties political advantage by obviously exploiting 9/11. mid speech he started some shameless promotion of our current "president" and assured us that "you can trust george bush" its not so much that he said it as the way he said it that just seemed as though i was being forced into trusting someone, perhaps even brainwashed....

he ended with a bit of comical standup. "we're gonna win one for the gipper, our oponents are gonna loose one for the FLIPPER" .... and if that wasnt good enough for you, try this one "John Kerry has to google his own name just to find out where he stands" haha, you are a funny one mr. patanki, you are a funny one.

what bothers me so much about this convention, is that it seemed to be a declaration of war instead of one of projection and goals. about 60% of the speeches were just attacks on the democratic party and John Kerry's honor. at the democratic national convention, they made a point of not cutting down the republican party, instead just talking about what they want to accomplish and where they stood. they made a few anonymous references, which i'll admit were easy to figure out, but overall they stuck to their no mudslinging focus. the republicans tonight, to me, just made a fool of themselves and sounded so immature and insecure that i wouldnt be able to be proud to be a part of their party.

but maybe i just feel that way because my daddy threatend to kick me out of the house if i became a republican. what a great dad. haha.

anyway, i watched jon stewart and last nights episode was on at ten thirty tonight and it had this lovely mooresque segment on george bush an dhis words in it, and since i knew it was coming, and because i'm cool, i taped it. so if you want to see that its very funny and very good whether you like george bush or not.

so i am pretty much out of time, i hope you all got to see the mockery that was the republican national convention tonight, and stood with your hand over your heart with pride.

and now for some valueable words by my favorite (no sarcasm, for serious) republican, mr. John McCain.
"the democrats should be viewed as our opponents, not our enemies"

of course Zell (D) would like to "go back to the days where we could challange people to a duel".

crazy times.
