My God!
In an attempt to fulfill my New Year's resolution of masturbating no more than twelve
times per day, I'm going to try to using the internet for a non-porn use and update
my journal. Tomorrow I'm going to teach my first class in my humor course. Now,
before I go on, I have to say that my desk smells a lot like varnish right now, or
else the rum I'm drinking is exceptionally cheap. Which is possible. That aside,
here's a finish to a brief update: Connie and I are doing well, although this semester
is going to be rough academically, which means relationship wise I won't have as much
time to be with her as usual. In the past twelve months something like four or five
couples I know have had babies, so I'm on to another stage of my life. For you youngin's
here's how it works: friends graduate from high school, mix of graduate from college
and get married, friends have interventions, friends turn their lives around and get
a real job, friends have babies. From there, I assume it goes like this: Relapse into
drinking/drugs, philandering, divorce, first suicide attempt, spiritual rebirth,
second empty career, rampant nudism, crapping in a public fountain, getting beat up by a
trucker, jailtime, spirtual rebirth, and death. Then retirement, first death, then
retirement. Also, I'm presenting at a theater conference in Madison at the end of
February.
