New Changer Load!

Nov 28, 2005 00:21

I should have a special icon for this. Of course, I should also change the discs more often.

This installment brought to you by my strange desire to reload the changer for a day of cooking and baking, but to start things off by doing dishes to the Ditty Bops.

In a strange twist, I hit random instead of playing them in sequence. My changer likes to pull some interesting segues at times (like Sugar to the McKrells), but it doesn't do train wrecks very often. The Ditty Bops didn't come up at all during the dishes.

Here's the list:

1. The Ditty Bops
2. The Be Good Tanyas - Blue Horse
3. The McKrells - Live
4. Amy Correia - Carnival Love
5. Dar Williams - The Green World
6. 10,000 Maniacs - In My Tribe
7. Suzanne Vega
8. Peter Mulvey - The Trouble With Poets
9. Guster - Keep It Together
10. Mike & Joe - This Dream
11. O.A.R. - In Between Now and Then
12. The All-American Rejects
13. James - The Best of
14. Sugar - Copper Blue
15. Billy Squier - 16 Strokes - The Best of Billy Squier
16. The Pretenders - Last of the Independents
17. Ani DiFranco - Not a Pretty Girl
18. Tegan and Sara - If It Was You
19. Tegan and Sara - This Business of Art
20. Leona Naess - I Tried To Rock You but You Only Roll
21. Roseanne Cash - Hits 1979-1989
22. Kasey Chambers - Wayward Angel
23. Eddie From Ohio - Big Noise
24. Sun-60 - Only
25. Dave's True Story - Unauthorized

I went a little nuts with female singers this time around. The three keys to this set are: The Ditty Bops, Billy Squier, and Roseanne Cash; the other discs are just to keep things moving.

The other unusual bit is the double Tegan and Sara (18-19). I've had This Business of Art for a year, but have never really listened to it. I wanted the familiar disc to prime me for it.

I feel like mixing something. I haven't done one since the as-yet-unsent "1981" mix for talcotts and the "WTFWIT" mixes for zilpha's birthday (also unsent). Anyone interested in inspiring my next mix? I'll try not to hold it for five months, like I have with the other two. :-)
