Work idiocy
Before the results of the move were announced, I'd arranged to make some changes to my schedule to clear the days that our friends were visiting. So, I took a vacation day on Saturday (the 17th), and traded with another guy to get the 18th off. The other end of that trade is that I work for him on Tuesday the 13th, but that's before our friends arrive, so it's not a problem.
Now that the move has posted, I'm on the same calendar as the guy I traded with. So now, I'm working for him on a day that I'm scheduled, and I've traded to get a day off that I'm already off. To make things even better, I'm also scheduled off on that day I'm taking vacation.
I've submitted a dispute of my assignment, but it's one of a pretty impressive stack, so there's no telling when it'll get reviewed. It's also interesting to me that the form reminding us to update our preferences for this 'mini-move' said specifically that our Shift and RDO pattern wouldn't change.
So yeah, loving the company right now.
Looks like I'm going in early to get this sorted out. :-/
