Momoko and Dinah had spent the day Thursday hanging out and double-checking on the apartments Momoko was waiting on. They had even managed to find a few new options! Yay!
And then they'd taken Mrs Wilson's story to the police, getting a very polite "thank you we will look into it" from the tired looking officer in the White Collar Crime Unit. Understandable, considering the size of the stacks of paper on his desk? But frustrating.
So Thursday evening, while eating a very healthy dinner of ice cream and pizza, the girls had done some research online and found the names of some other duped 'investors' and finally located the former secretary that Mrs Wilson had met.
Now Friday morning, Dinah and Momoko were visiting him. They weren't sure if he was in on the scheme or not, but at the least maybe they could pick up some additional clues?
Momoko pushed open the door to Marham and Associates and led the way into the lobby and up to the receptionist's desk.
And no, she wasn't wearing a wig.
"Hi. We're looking for a Jonothon Lankey?"
