The island was full of beautiful blossoms!

No, no no. No, not that kind of blossoms... this kind:

It was time to view the cherry blossoms!

And it looked like every citizen of Japan had come to see the flowers today. Oddly enough there wasn't as much noise as one would expect from such a crowd. Even when walking among the people already seated, there was just a light hum of casual conversation and laughter. Momoko was totally glad she'd had the opportunity to bring everyone to this small island instead of going to one of the viewings inside the city; those could get so loud and hectic!

Here, though, it was very relaxed. People were dressed in both western and traditional clothes, so no one in the Fandom group really stood out - and if anyone doubted, Momoko would point to the Lolita punk couple looking for their tarp, or the small food cart where Noodra, a short bowl-headed creature whose body was made out of noodles, was trying to sell people soy ramen.

Momoko translated the various signs and explained the vendors and food carts as the group made their way to a blue tarp staked with a sign that read /Akatsutsumi Momoko/. "Ah! Here we are!"

"I came out here just after my bodyguard shift ended this morning and managed to get us a great spot! See?" And it was a nice spot, not directly under a tree, but in a cool grassy area that got just enough sunshine to keep a body warm if the wind turned chilly. There were trees close enough that a few petals had already fallen onto the tarp, but the group wasn't in anyway obstructing the view and there was even a good deal of space between them and the surrounding people, so they could talk freely without worrying about being overheard!

"Shoes off and placed along the edge of the tarp, please, and we can dig in whenever we want! The only rules are to keep off other people's tarps or blankets unless they invite you to join them, try not to disturb others, and clean up after we're done! Which is whenever we are ready to go, by the way; there's no time limit! We have the whole day and night! Uhm." She thought for a moment, then pointed at one of the huge baskets full of food the Ryokan had provided for them. "I think that basket has the sake in it. We're all over twenty, right?"
