Thursday, Kissu Kissu cafe, Tokyo City, Japan [Momoko's world]

"You look tired, Momoko-chan."

"Well! There's a lot of people here today!" Momoko made her way around the bar to sit for a moment. She was helping serve the customers at the kissu kissu while Masaki's little sister was studying for exams. Plus it kept her distracted from her father still being mad at her and allowed her to earn a little money at the same time.

"That's because of the attractive new waitress that's been working here lately." Masaki patted Momoko on the head. "And that's not what I am talking about. You were tired when you came in. What's wrong?"

Not for the first time, Momoko wondered if she should just break down and tell her friend everything. For the moment, though, she just smiled up at him. "I had some strange dreams last night. I kept waking up."

Masaki nodded, but it was obvious he didn't believe it was just that. Still, to prove how awesome he was, he let it go: "Go upstairs. Take a small break."

Momoko looked around at the busy cafe. "Are you sure?"

"They can walk up to the bar to order like usual; Tsu-chan and Momo-chan have spoiled these neanderthals." Another nod and a small push on her arm and Momoko was chuckling her way to the door that led to Masaki's upstairs apartment. She took a moment to let Masaki's little sister Tsukiko know she was there, and then sat on the couch.

And fell fast asleep...

There was a small step-step sound that stopped, and Blossom's eyes focused sharply in that direction as she reloaded. Again. A barrel above her head caught her eye and she quickly holstered her gun to stand and throw it at the heavily armed men she was facing down.

The cursing and scattering of footsteps was only slightly satisfying. Just as she drew her pistol again, aiming in the direction of the sounds, her gun was grabbed from her. Momoko turned, ready to attack the person, assuming it to be one of the crooks sneaking up behind her, and was surprised to find Triela glaring at her. Before Momoko could say anything, her arm was firmly in her friend's grasp and she was being dragged towards the rear exit. "Hey?" Momoko protested. "Why are we running away?"

"It's not running away." Triela's voice was very lecture-y and suddenly she was drinking a cup of tea and staring at Momoko over the rim as they sat in the old gun club room. "At least, it's not supposed to be. So, have you missed me?"

Momoko shook awake at the sound of a dish falling.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to wake you," Tsukiko-chan groaned. "You were sleeping so soundly!"

Momoko yawned. "It's okay. I should be getting back downstairs." Another dream about Triela. Momoko sat up and shook her head, wondering why she was dreaming about her dead friend lately. "At least this time we weren't on a bus trip across America," she muttered.
