Karla traipsed in behind Dinah and Priestly, hanging back while they traded hugs--and kisses?!--and apologies. But when it was her turn for a hug, she didn't hold back, intending to sweep Momoko up in the tightest hug she could offer.
"I couldn't even face you at the end!" Karla said, her words mingling with Momoko's, making a cacophony of apologies and guilt. "I sent the rest of them in the office to talk to you about the locker combination while I hid! I'm so, so sorry!"
"What?" Karla had to piece together what she meant. "Oh! No no no no! I was hiding from you because I felt so guilty. I couldn't face you!"
Momoko had spent years under Imperio and hadn't turned into the vicious spite-creature that Karla had. Instead, she'd been a bit vague, but still sweet and loving. And had still had to see Priestly get murdered in front of her.
"Why on earth would you feel guilty? You didn't do it!" Another squeeze and then Momoko pulled back to glare at her. Fondly, and with tears still in her eyes, so it was kind of a bad glare, but there you go. "You should have come in! I wasn't mad or anything! Don't hide next time, okay? Unless I am trying to kill you, of course."
