Strange and Mysterious Things

Hello all,

Raaarrrrrghhhhhh I'm sleepy. *blinks*. And my feet hurt. I've been insanely busy the last few days, and it's likely to continue the rest of the week. Buckets of fun, though! Emily came over for the weekend because it was her birthday last week, and we ate cake and watched Merlin and sat up late. Summation of my life right now:

MPS (Musical Production Society) and Drama soc: MPS is going really well, we've got half the variety show set now. We did "Who Will Buy" and "What's Up Duloc" on Sunday and they were really fun. Also, our MD keeps picking me out as the loud alto *laughs*. The other week we had this:
MD: "Right, altos, let's hear you sing your part."
        Altos: *sing*
MD: "Okay. Now let's hear everyone but Hazel, because I could only hear Hazel last time."
        Hazel: *sheepish*
...which was mildly embarrassing, but flattering XD. And we got the cast list in Drama - I'm the Ghost of Christmas Past *beams*. This should be fun... hopefully we'll get scripts tonight.

Sci Fi and Fantasy Soc: Great fun. We had fewer than usual last night, but that didn't matter too much. We did presentations - those of us that had volunteered last week did a little powerpoint/speech about a book/tv series/film/etc that we were into and why it was good. I did Joss Whedon's Dollhouse, but I'd forgotten about it completely so I had to run home and grab my laptop and sit at the back of the hall creating it. It went pretty well, considering! I love that show. Really need to rewatch it.

Friends: Everyone seems to be getting on (both with me and each other) which is great. Can't wait for Sophie's birthday tomorrow :) I'm not doing anything mad like I did last year, but I'm looking forward to her opening her presents. Hehehehe. I still need to wrap mine, actually... and then Sophie will be twenty-one, and it'll be exactly two weeks until I am too. O.O

Weird thing: I came home earlier and discovered a "for let" sign standing in our front garden. ...yeah. It wasn't even from the company that rents to us. So I called the number on the sign and apparently they put it in the wrong place. It made me laugh, because the woman on the phone was so apologetic! She said they'd try to move it again tomorrow, which is fair enough.

Productivity and uni: So I have a to-do list. It has forty-eight things on it. O.O Only, I wrote it on Friday, and now it only has... *counts*...
twenty-three things left. :D I'm feeling achieved, though knackered. And hungry. Oooooo, there is cake downstairs...

NaNoWriMo: OH DEAR MERLIN IT APPROACHES!!!! Haha. I'm looking forward to it, though it's going to be even more insane than usual this year, I think. During this November I have two essays due, my dissertation to write and on top of that I'm helping my parents move house. WHAT. *grins* It's going to be excellent, though, and I'm looking forward to encouraging headlesshedwig and jakuako through it for their first times. I'm such a mother hen...

Family: Speaking of moving house. My parents are moving out!! This is... bizarre. The house they're moving out of is the only one I remember living in (we moved in when I was two). And and and. I know technically I've moved out already, and I think that helps. But I may still be ridiculously emotional on the day. :S

Fanfiction: See "NaNoWriMo". Also, I really need to write some Merlin again. I don't do it often enough, and whenever I post on the merlinxarthur comm, I feel like I'm getting hugs. So definitely a good thing.

For everyone who read all of that when you really didn't need to, have a pretty picture:

...of the lovely Tiffany Aching, who I shall be going as to a fancy dress New Years Party. In theory. :)

So. Yep. That's just me unloading my life onto Livejournal. Do comment to say hi if you've got five minutes, it makes me feel happy (and unneccessarily self-important).

Hazel
