On April 2, 2010, a video went up on Terry Goodkind's official site and YouTube channel, promoting a new Richard and Kahlan novel to be released on March 15, 2011.[4][5][6][7][8] Mr. Goodkind has, after an extensively riddled online clue hunt, revealed the synopsis of the book. The Omen Machine will take place after Confessor, when a mysterious machine is found underground and begins to give predictions, most of which are seemingly benign, but Zedd believes the machine must be destroyed until a prediction is given that scares him to death; a prediction which, if true, will tear apart Richard and Kahlan's life as they know it.

I hope this isn't a crack novel! It sounds like it won't really be taking place in the Sword of Truth world. I mean come on a machine in the Midlands? I'm very worried that this is going to be a very bad move on Goodkind's move - just to give the fans what they want (which is more stories about Richard, Kahlan, Zedd, Cara, Shota). But as a fan I want more of what Terry Goodkind gave us in the first eleven books of the Sword of Truth.
Please don't let this be crack. Let it truly fit into the Midland world - and flow with the other novels.
