Adorable relatives, fangirling moments...life is good.

Today was quite nice, in a lazy Friday sort of way.  (I never have classes on Friday---it's a weird state university thing.)

My mom is recovering really well---she can use her cane instead of her walker now!  She'll still housebound for two weeks, though.  Still, she doesn't limp anymore!

In the morning, my uncle and my 3-year-old cousin Anna visited.  Anna is seriously the world's most adorable child: she's perky, clever, funny, outgoing, and super-photogenic.  She saw me with wet hair and glasses, and she just stared at me, trying to figure out who I was, and when I told her, she said I looked silly.  I probably did.  And she totally called pom-poms "pine cones."  She and my uncle had prayed for my mom when she had her surgery, and then, two nights ago, she apparently asked, "Who hurt their hip?"  So my uncle told her, and she said, "Okay, let's pray for her."  (They usually pray for relatives in groups, since we all have so many.)  Anna and I also played catch with a volleyball.  She is too cute for words.

After they left, my mom sent me to the store for bananas, and right before I checked out, I stopped to look at TVGuide.  I flipped through and found an article about Sesame Street's new season; the article brought up the clever TV show parodies they've been doing, including "True Mud", and then it mentioned this:

"...an A-Team parody with Ryan Reynolds."

SO MUCH AWESOME IN ONE SENTENCE!!!  God, I hope that goes viral, like "True Mud" did.  Strangely, I had already been thinking about how they could pull that one off while watching the other spoofs.

Had I not been holding a basket of groceries and a magazine right then, I would have done this:

Oh my God, the TARDIS should totally land on Sesame Street!  If C-3PO and R2-D2 could do that, so could the Doctor!  They could use the TARDIS's exterior and interior to explain "big" and "small" and then everyone could sing "I'd Like to Visit the Moon!"

...Wait, why do I care about Sesame Street?  I don't even watch it anymore.  So why did I give it a tag?  I'm clearly losing it.

fangirling, my brain works too fast, random, doctor who, my geek is showing, ryan reynolds, gifs, life, the a-team, family
