TV Meme: Day 4
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever: Doctor Who
I decided to use the previous and the current logos (if I used them all, this post would be a mile long).
What do I love about this show? ...Everything. There's not an episode that I absolutely despise well, maybe "Planet of the Dead" or a character that I absolutely hate (for instance, Mickey tends to annoy me, but I don't hate him---I understand where he's coming from). I can find something to like about every episode, series, Doctor, companion, etc. This is a fun and likable show, and I think the fandom tends to forget that---they can't see the forest for the trees, as it were.
Even though I've only seen about three stories and a bunch of clips from the Classic Series, I do appreciate its history, much more than I original thought I would when I first started looking up New!Who episodes. It's okay to like New!Who. It's okay to like Classic!Who. Let's just all get along.
I realized this is my favorite show because whenever I discover something new (like Inglourious Basterds, for instance), I try to think of ways I can cross it over with this show. Also, I've never grown tired of it, as I have with Supernatural (though that may be because of the ridiculous fandom and the fact that the characterization started going in circles). There's always another adventure with the Doctor.
