TV Meme: Day 3
Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this t.v season): Human Target
I wish I could find a smaller pic. Oh well. I've only seen a handful of episodes (because of school work and such), but the reason I like this show so much is because of the strong cast. The writing is kind of like a standard action show, but the leads (Mark Valley, Chi McBride, and Jackie Earle Haley) have great chemistry together and hit everything they're given right out of the park. They've also had great guest stars, too (like Tricia Helfer, Mitch Pileggi, Amy Acker, Grace Park, and Methos from Highlander), which strengths it. I wish the writers would realize that they could probably raise it about the one-condensed-action-movie-per-week thing and focus more on Chance, Winston, and Guerrero's relationships with each other. Then again, I'm a dork.
My favorite character is Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley in a gray, moppy wig, on the pic's upper right side). He's a genius, smart-ass hacker who can get whatever information they need whenever they need it because he's just that awesome. He's also the only middle-aged man who doesn't sound dorky when he uses the word "dude." I almost wish it were his show because he's weirdly mysterious and funny and slightly dark at moments, and I'd love to see that get explored. Also, to fangirls whom I thought were nuts for finding Jackie Earle Haley attractive: I get it now. I do.
I did not choose Glee for this category because while it's highly entertaining, it's rather lacking in consistency. Human Target is very consistent and entertaining.
