I was in Tulsa this weekend, watching my brother and my alma mater's marching band participate in a competition. They marched wonderfully, they played beautifully, and then they...came in third to a band called Owasso because Owasso always cleans up at every competition they go to, and my old band was the only band that came from outside Oklahoma to attend, so it was all political. The trip was still fun anyway.
I have to work on a rough draft for a paper, but I just can't bring myself to do it because...meh. Note to self: stop using ellipses...
I just recently discovered
fandomsecrets, and I can't stop reading the entries! I downloaded GIMP last night so I could join in the fun, but now I have to figure out how to use it.
Guess what: James Marsters is guest starring on Lie to Me tonight! I don't even watch Lie to Me, but I'll watch this episode, just like that time I looked up that episode of NUMB3RS that he was in---my brother and I couldn't stop giggling while we watched that because Spike was facing federal charges and the Devil from Reaper (Ray Wise) was part of his legal counsel. It was slightly surreal.
Here's my local newspaper's synopses of the latest episode of House:
"House and his team are at odds over how to treat an African dictator (James Earl Jones) charged with crimes against humanity in his country."
Wow. That sounds like an awesome crack!fic. Unfortunately, that episode is on at the same time as Heroes, and I have to see Nathan having memories that aren't his. Just because.
