I need to post more regularly, but last week I ended up doing a couple of fills for
avengerkink that took longer than I expected, and then there was work and family gatherings.
Work has been pretty good. The weekend was pretty crowded, but when I worked breaks on Thursday, the park was nearly dead because it was cold and rainy. On the plus side, I got to work in the Justice League gift shop TWICE on Thursday. I work breaks again next week for three days in a row, which I'm cool with. I really like working breaks because you get to see different sections of the park and it's pretty interesting.
Also, on Monday, I learned how to stuff animals Build-A-Bear style (though it's a Build-A-Bear knockoff called "Animal Land"), and I made a koala and a giraffe with minimal fluff mess on my first try. Then I made a dark brown teddy bear for a lady, but she ran off to get an extra dollar while I was stuffing it, and she never came back. So I named the bear Odysseus and he's sitting on the top of the fluff machine with several other display stuffed animals whom I may have named Achilles, Agamemnon, Menelaus, Nestor, and Ajax--Monday night was a little slow.
But the best customer-related thing was on Sunday:
Lady: *holds up stuffed Tasmanian Devil doll* Um, I just bought this for my grandson, and he's terrified of it. He won't even look at it. Can I return it?
Me: Alright, but I'll have to call a supervisor... (I can't do refunds on my own; leads and supervisors have to do it.)
Lady: Oh, forget it.
Then the mother in the family bought something else, and the grandmother threw in a stuffed Scooby-Doo doll, presumably to make up for Taz.
Oh, and I've had a few work-related dreams. My favorite was the one where Loki worked my job while I watched from some third-person point of view.
Yeah, that might be enough sharing for right now.
