But I don't even watch this show regularly!

Mar 25, 2012 23:51

I watched a few early episodes of Once Upon a Time (like the first two or three), but then had to stop watching do to an ungodly load of homework in the fall semester.  It was good, if cheesy.  Then I tuned in again tonight because of a certain guest star who is relevant to my current main fandom.

A very happy unSPOILERS to you! )

fandom, fangirling, my brain works too fast, tv, my geek is showing

storybrooke!jefferson is basically a handsome deadpool. 8D

I didn't even think of that, but you're completely right. The only thing he didn't do was talk to the audience. Thank you for pointing that out! *adds to crossover plot bunny*

Cheesy dialogue is pretty inescapable with OUaT, unfortunately. Anyway, I'm really glad they went with the "Wonderland is an entirely separate world from Storybrooke and the fairytale land" way of doing it. Though that makes me somewhat confused- did Jefferson manage to escape, or did the curse pull him out of Wonderland and into Storybrooke? Hm. Either way the Queen of Hearts all veiled and talking through the tube was creepy as hell- totally awesome.

I figured the dialogue was usually cheesy, but it seemed a bit glaring in this particular episode for some reason.

I wondered that, too. Maybe he was pulled out of Wonderland into Storybrooke because that was his original world? Or maybe Wonderland is located within Storybrooke in the modern day world? I got nothin'.

That was wonderfully freaky. I couldn't help wondering if maybe she looks exactly like Regina---like they're twins or something (Regina did say the Queen of Hearts always viewed her as a rival).

I was a bit distracted while watching last night, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

And besides that, does Regina know he's there? Is she banking on everyone ignoring him when/if he ever talked about what's really happening? I do quite like the idea that the Mad Hatter is sane(ish), it's everyone else who can't see the truth. If he hadn't been an idiot and gone the kidnapping route, he might've actually gotten through to Emma.

Ooooh, I will totally believe the Queen of Hearts is Regina's twin/sibling until proven otherwise.

Yeah, I had to rewatch the episode on Hulu this afternoon because I came in 15 minutes late on accident. It's definitely worth a second look.

I'm not sure if she knows because he seems to live outside the town, though near enough to spy on it, I guess? If Regina knows about him, then he definitely not one of her priorities. Yeah, he could have been really helpful if he had taken a different approach. I think Emma began to believe just a little bit when she saw Grace/Paige and then saw Jefferson in the book. I think we haven't seen the last of him, though.

I had to wonder if it was that because she kidnapped Regina's father (who is also named Henry, apparently?), and her right hand man insisted that "there is only one queen," like maybe they quarrelled over the throne until Regina found a new realm? I'm probably completely wrong, but I can't help guessing about why her face was covered up.

Why don't you like Alice in Wonderland?

Because no one is likeable at all, there is no plot, and the whole thing was clearly made on acid. I haven't read the book yet, but I'm pretty sure that was written on drugs, too. I'm all for wacky trippiness, but at least make it likeable.

Also, the Cheshire Cat has Winnie the Pooh's voice and that's always freaked me out.
