A lovely night (with details)
Okay, so work was work. No major highlights, except for going to IHOP for lunch with Heather and Ray. That was really fun. We jokingly called it a PA business meeting, and it was really fun. I hope we all go out for lunch together more often.
So after work I come home and there's a guy checking out the house. I put my stuff away then go in and introduce myself, we chat for a minute, he seems into the place and he leaves. He seems nice enough, got good vibes, he seemed to like the house a lot. As I was coming down the hall, I heard him say that it's the best house so far and the cheapest. And as I was leaving he said he hoped to see more of me, which I took as a good sign. He left and RDT said there was another one coming any minute.
RDT and I talk in the living room for 5-10 minutes and the second guy comes in. We do the tour and end up talking in the rec room for a good 20-25 minutes. He was really cool and both RDT had good vibes and liked him and we think he'd fit in really well. He seemed to like the place and seemed like he may go for it. He literally stayed for practically a half hour talking with us, which I thought was very promising. So he left, and RDT and I discussed it for a while and if they end up both wanting the house, we'd want the second one to have it, because he clearly clicked better. Not that the first guy wasn't cool too, but he didn't stay for a half hour, so I didn't get as clear a read.
Anyway so RDT and I are chatting some more and he gets a call from Jen to come down to the Blue Room for Brandy's birthday. Her party is Saturday, but yesterday was her actual birthday. He asked if I wanted to come, I said I had work in the morning, he said he was only going to stay for a half hour. So I said sure. We broke for a half hour to change, then headed off to the Blue Room.
There was a small group of people there, Brandy, Grant, Jen, Vic, Rory, Kat, Tim, and a guy Mark I'd never met before. It was really fun, even though we were only there a half hour. I bought Brandy a shot for her birthday, we had some good jokes, I got teased for being 22, everyone at the bar sang Happy Birthday and there were many sexual innuendos. All in all, it was a very good 30 minutes.
RDT and I say our goodbyes and head back home. It was a random night, but a really fun one. I love my friends. =]
