Today was supposed to be hectic, then wasn't, then it TOTALLY was. Heather and I thought we had a whole lot of tapes to log really fast today because they needed to be sent out to be transcribed. But then it turns out the transcriber already had a maximum amount of tapes, so they weren't really a rush job. But then towards the end of the day we realized that tomorrow we're getting a crapload of tapes back from dubbing, so we had to rush to get through the tapes we already had, to get ready for the tapes we're gonna get tomorrow.
*deep breath*
Yeah. I also had a run to the Best Buy in Burbank today, and I was all set to go in there and buy an iPod mini while I was there, and then they were sold out. I was soooo bummed. I could have bought a 20gb for $300, which I guess is a good deal considering a 6gb is $250. I mean, it is another 14gb for $50. But...5,000 songs? I can't imagine ever needing that much space. I mean, I've got a little under 2,000 songs right now, but I don't see that number going up a considerable amount in the near future. So I dunno. I do want to buy an iPod though. Mini or regular. I've fucking had it with my discman. I'm just done. It's on its last legs and I've had it. So once I can figure out what the best deal is and all that, I'm getting it. Any opinions on the mini vs. regular debate?
Once I got out of work, I sped over to Adrienne's for dinner. I was pretty late, because everyone got there around 6ish and dinner was at 7ish and I got there at 8:00. But it was really cute because Adrienne had a plate all ready for me and it felt a bit like what it must be for Dad when he comes home from work and there's a plate of dinner all ready to be nuked. But even though I was late, it was great seeing the peoples. Kat's mom and brother were in from the East Coast, and Miriam's mom and cousin were vising from Japan, plus Ethan was on break from college so it was a big group.
The highlight of my day was having Bobert do crazy little manic dances by my car as I started to drive away, then having him run after me, big crazy grin on his face, yelling out, "I love you!!! I love you!!!" I was laughing hysterically, it was a riot.
Have I mentioned lately how awesome my family is?
