I've got nothing to do today but smile

So yesterday was a long ass day. I had one of those nights where you're a bit anxious, so you wake up every hour, paranoid that you're gonna sleep through the alarm. So I got up at 4:30 and drove out to this donut shop somewhere in Hollywood. It was so sketchy at first and I was a bit edgy, because I was the first one there. It was still dark and all the stores in the shopping center were closed. But 10 minutes later the rest of the crew showed up, and we got some coffee and donuts before meeting the actors at the hamburger stand.

It was weird being up that early. We got to the burger stand before 7:00 and actually got through with the shoot pretty quickly. The director and producer aren't really film people, they're musicians in a band. The band, OGGI is starring in the movie, so it sort of feels like they're not really that hip to how things work. It was fun though, the people are cool. I already have a crush on the guitarist who's playing Mercutio...lol. We finished shooting before 9:00 and so we all went home for a bit for some extra zzzz's.

There was a rehearsal later that afternoon which I went to. I had only planned to stay for an hour, but it was actually fun so I stayed for the whole thing. I was supposed to go to dinner with Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop afterwards, but we ended up cancelling because of the rain. Hopefully we'll get a raincheck this week. And if not, we're going to have dinner at Adrienne's this Friday because Allan, Linda and Alex are in town. We better get a poker game in as well. I also got a call from my cousin on my mom's side, Jacob. It was really nice to hear from him and we had a good conversation. Depending on the shoot this weekend, I may be meeting him and his mom/my aunt for dinner this weekend. I'm not entirely sure yet, though. But even if it's not this weekend, we're gonna get together sometime.

Got a job interview tomorrow at another talent management group in Beverly Hills. I don't really want to get into talent management, but if they want to hire me, I'm not going to turn them down. I'll sacrifice being slightly unhappy at work for the time being, if it means I get to stay in LA. Barry actually gave me some decent advice before I left BKM. He said it's good to be at a job that you're slightly uncomfortable in. Because that way you won't feel so comfortable that you'll stay there for longer than necessary, and won't give up doing what you really want to do. So if the interview goes well tomorrow, I'll do whatever I have to do for the time being to save up more money and ensure my staying put. I'm fucking determined as all hell to stay. I've got such a good thing going here, I'm sure as hell not going to blow it.
