Today was very fun and laid-back, yet eventful. Dad and I went to see "Exorcist: The Beginning" which I liked a lot. It wasn't as good as the original, but nothing will ever be as good as the original. I didn't like the use of digital effects and CGI in the film, because it felt cheesy and fake. Dad thought the sound could have been a bit better, but I didn't really notice that much because I was on the edge of my seat. There were some really fantastic suspenseful scenes that had me holding my breath. It was awesome. The acting was really great and I love how it was character driven, and we learn so much more about Father Merrin that it changes our perspective of him when you think about the original. All in all, I was very pleased. I'd definitely go see it again.
After that we got coffee to take home for Mom and had cups of coffee ourselves. I had an iced coffee and Dad had his hot and strong with a spoon in it...just how he likes his women. (just kidding) After that we went to Ground Round because Dad had a hankering for a certain burger they had, and I discovered they had a drink similar to my big blue booze drink. It wasn't as good, and it was a small blue booze drink, but it was close enough to satisfy. And I treated, which felt nice because Dad treats for lots of things.
Then we came home and the whole family chilled in the attic. Ben played his bass while we hung around, then I played Scrabble with Mom and Dad. I had beaten Mom last night, creamed her actually. 300+ to 150ish. Hehehehe I rule. I won again with 197 I think. Dad was not a very good loser...hehe. We almost played again, but Mom threw in the towel after her second round and that ended things. Then I watched "Bring It On" which is such a cheesy movie, but it's silly and fun and the routines at Nationals are awesome and Jesse Bradford is too adorable.
Then I watched "Pippin" and now I'm going to bed. The end.
