The one pretty building in Scheveningen. Which I'm sure is lovely on a sunny day. But having grown up in a coastal town on the North Sea, I find it hard to appreciate them in the way inland-types do. Still, we had some tasty ice-cream.
Splishety-splash in the North Sea. We call it splodging in Hartlepool, but when I said it over there, it was one of many times I was accused of making words up.
Anouk and the meal I cooked for the Dutchies (cottage pie followed by apple and bramble pie). Which we consumed with copious amounts of red wine and a film about smoking. Mmm.
In what truly is "het vrolijkste museum van Nederland". Which we got into for free. The guide was good, if not amusing. Golden quotes include, but are by no means limited to "please look at the backside of the clock" and "ladies and Germans".
Drinking tasty belgian beer in a bar that used to be a church and was full of kakkers. It even had a cat!
Muggen Holocaust I. The little bastards have followed me home... I saw one on a window earlier on. It was too quick, and I didn't have an electrocution device. Wat jammer!
And what better a way to reward yourself after murder than vla!?
Playing with the bubble blowers while waiting for the festival site to open on Friday morning.
The Ting Tings in India. So hot. So most of the time I sat on the grass outside to listen and play with the bubble blowers.
Another of the three tasty things to come out of Belgian that I experienced during the festival. The others being beer and the guy playing Iago. Except I didn't experience him, I just got ot listen to him talking about the "sssshoooonheid van de vrouw" in the sexiest accent ever.
Anouk and Matt infront of the photo wall. Our picture was further along. They're eating swirls. I would kill for one right now, to be honest. Instead I'm waiting for my mam to buy a roast chicken. Which will still be om nom nom good, but doesn't have the choice of toppings.
Me and the wall and swirl.
Deciding to change trains in Den Haag and not in Duivendrecht so we could buy one last Swirl before I flew home was genious. And they had a type of icecream not at Lowlands: Perzik/Bananananana.
