So here I am telling myself that I am going to complete the 30 in 30 Challenge. But this window has sat open all day as literally every time I sit down to bust out my first entry something has needed my attention at the school or at home. For those of you who may be wondering,
30in30 is a LJ group dedicated to the challenge of making 30 blog posts in 30 days.
For those of you who know what I am talking about I am EPIK Justino, and I blog about stuff. I post mostly about living and teaching in Korea and Asia. I was recruited by
emosnail. When i say recruited I actually mean coerced through threats of violence.
So the China Earthquake has been pretty big news here in South Korea. I have been vehemently blogging about
China,
Tibet,
Journalists, and the
Olympic Torch just before the earthquake.
But today I want to share some stories that are largely absent from the Western Media's coverage of the quake. So far the best way to share them, that I have found, is through
these comics. I choose them because they are certainly the most fact checked with dates and details, something I was concerned with because i remember the rampant spread of urban legends in my own country in the days after 9/11.
This one is my favorite, but I highly recommend check out all of them. But be sure not to forget some of the more hard struck victims of this quake: Pandas. Some staff of reserves have been killed, pandas have done missing, and some reserves and research centers have become dangerously isolated.
What I am looking for during my 30 in 30 experience is to get more constructive feedback on my blog and take a look at other peoples blogging styles that post often.
Peace and Love
EPIK Justino
