Halloween in Korea
Not really. There was a big party on saturday at the bars. I saw some little kid buying a halloween costume at E-Mart but that was about an hour ago at 10:30 at night... I mean Halloween is almost over.
But there is no trick or treating, no children running around in costumes. I did hear that the only Koreans that celibrate Halloween are the Christians. Again, blurring the line between converting people and helping American culture to usurp Korean culture.
I had almost no classes at Yanghak this week... of course I found this out only after I ordered the printing room to print out 350 worksheets of Halloween wordfinds and other activities. Now I have piles of unused spooky worksheets that are best before 10/31/07.
They didnt have classes this week because they had some big test for all the students. I watched the Star Wars episode of Family Guy and it was really good. They must have had some deal with Lucus Arts because the sounds effects are the real deal in the episode. If there is something that I know, that is what Star Wars "sounds like".
My package from Thailand showed up. I bought some Thai Fisherman Pants and some shirts from a fair trade outfit in Thailand. I have to say they are perfect for lounging or working out around the house. Through Ebay the price was pretty good even after shipping.
