cologne chapter 2: where a fat kid gets his cake
i jüst got back from cologne's chöcölate museum. I thought i was supposed to be leaving today for Barcelona, but fortunately i realized what day it wa before getting on the train.
i am annoyed with my europass because i limited it to germany, France, and Spain. Unfortunately I thought it was a simple matter of catching a train to Paris and then to barcelona. Unfortunately, that train goes through Belgium, that smug bastard of a country...
so now I need to go this ass backwards way trying to make trains on a tight scedule in two countries where i do not speak the language. Plus i have to try and use the Paris metro to get to another train station that is across town. I figure i will manage as long as i get up and get an earlz train. success will mean I will get to barcelona at 8am, failure means i get to enjoy the company of Parisian junkies as i bask in the luxary accomedations of a paris träin statiön.
On to the important stuff. they have a chocolate museum here i cologne. there was some stuff about how chocolate is made and you can watch a small scale factory pump out enough milk chocolate to kill a moose.
Thez also had chocolate fountains. to mz dismay they had ample security, probably to keep folks like myself from dunking my head in. i also got cake, chocolate cake and it was good. they also sold Cuban chocolate and circumventing US trade embargo never tasted so good. so i think i going to lie down now as i have eaten more than this fat kids share of chocolate.
