Its Time

I am leaving in a half hour for Spain. I haven't slept tonight, I rarely do the night before a big trip. I will miss She Who Shall Not Be Named terribly, and maybe even Flagstaff too. This will be the longest that Who Shall Not Be Named and I have ever been apart. I know it will be hard on her and I worry about her.

Today I did some last minute shopping. I blew money on a adapter for my trimmer and bought She Who Shall Not Be Named a stuff bear at some place where you build your own teddy bear. She named it Justin. It is so nice to know that I can be replaced by a bear.

Wandering isn't so bad. Its even relevant when there is a place you know and that you belong somewhere ahead of you. Even if it is just in my own head sometimes.

At this point of the night I am not sure whether I should be asking if I am ready for the Spaniards or if the Spaniards are ready for me. These are the people that lived under fascism well after WWII. Of course they did us one better by having a vaguely sucessful revolution for a bit, that had anarchists, socialists, communists, and true blue anti-clergists OH MY!

Wish me luck.

spain, flag, she who shall not be named
