((Italics represent the Narrator))

And so the Bard entered an unfamiliar wood full of strange and terrible creatures. Stranger and more terrible, perhaps, was that the Bard found himself completely without memory. This would be a grave inconvenience, if the Bard were actually able to remember anything that happened within ten minutes of it's passing ( Read more... )

My, this place seems to get more interesting folk at an exponential rate as time passes.

You have my word that I have no intention of lingering in this place any longer than necessary, as interesting as I am sure it is. Wouldn't happen to know the way out, would you?

As much as I'd love to send you on your way, I'm afraid I must inform you that no way out exists.

Well then if you'll just direct me to the other establishments of civilization in the region, I'll be on my way.

What you see is what you get. The town before you is the only civilization in this world.

At least tell me there's a bar here.

What sort of town wouldn't have a bar? Alcohol is practically the cornerstone of civilization, for better or for worse.

I'm afraid you're simply out of luck. Good luck finding a job.

Bugger that. So is there anything else I should know, or should I just get in line so the little demons can prod me with pitchforks?

You already have a room assigned to you at the Ari Apartments. Both it and the food served there are free of charge.

I'm not one to say no to free lodging. How hard is it to, say, dive out the window on short notice to avoid hordes of irrationally angry locals?

The lowest floor you could potentially be on is the fourth, highest being the ninth. From there, it's a straight drop, with nothing to break your fall. Of course, this is purely hypothetical, I presume.

Purely hypothetical, I assure you. One must always be prepared and all that.
