Between
rhoboat's Fringe vid
Lateralus (which you should all watch because it is amazing!) and
misqueue's
recent post, I've been thinking about the Fibonacci sequence, which made me think of Athena Kildegaard's
poems based on the Fibonacci sequence, which reminded me that I had her new book Cloves & Honey, a collection of love poems.
kass, I think you'd like this book.
There is that in me which reaches
for you no matter the hour, no
matter how far or near you are.
There is that confidence mornings
when robins try the warming air
and that humbling whir of moths
against the screen. Whatever in me
reaches out carries with it every
morning a rejuvenation, the damp
pushing up of rhubarb, deer in
the dew passing their soft lips
over grass. There is that in me, too,
the freshness, when I reach for you,
my mind brave as leaves
before the unfurling.
- Athena Kildegaard
from Cloves & Honey
