Jon Huertas (Esposito) as a marine is a call out to Generation Kill, and I think Seamus Denver's (Ryan) costume was from a previous character of his as well.
Also, Nathan said on twitter that in the part where he jumps out the door and draws his gun, if you look on the shelf below the gun (and below the toy ship) the catalyzer from Out Of Gas is there.
Right, exactly -- I have no desire to rewatch the show or discuss it in depth (I mean, what depth?), but it is consistently delightful, and everyone involved appears to be having a fabulous time, and in that sense it's hitting a lot of the same buttons as Leverage, which has been my other TV happy place for a while now.
Ahahaha. Yes. And -- yeah, he is generous and trusting and not at all uptight, but also capable of being 100% SRS BZNSS when the situation requires it.
I would write up a Castle review but basically it would be exactly what you said. Honestly, seeing him as Mal made my whole world a little brighter. I still love our show, h.l. And NF is doing so well in Castle, having so much fun, and the supporting cast is totally stepping up to the plate and having just as much of a good time. It's such a happy show.
OUR SHOW OMG. (I... may have another Firefly vidsong. Which you may have to hear. JUST SAYING.) And yes, the cast of Castle is clearly having a fabulous time, which is a huge part of what makes it so much fun to watch.

Remember how Shirley loved Fabien? That is how much I love Rick Castle.
