still my show, dammit.

I am almost done with initial clipping for the current Firefly vid. I would be done already, except that scrubbing through looking for clips takes me forever because I keep coming across scenes I have to stop and watch. Keep in mind that these clips have no sound - which doesn't matter, because I know so much of the dialogue. I didn't realize just ( Read more... )

pure mad love of the show as a whole, these characters, the way they breathe and grieve and struggle and strive and smirk and swagger and stand and fight and run like hell and make a home, not always gladly, and almost never easily, but together.

God. YES.

My show! ::hugs::

Kass! I laid some clips this morning and made myself cry with one of them! Because OH MAL!!!

I am so glad I saved the sort-of-cheerful vid to do AFTER this one, because this one is BREAKING MY HEART.

This "you don't know how much dialog you know till it's gone" thing has happened to me over and over, mostly in Angel and Buffy, but now it's dead serious in Supernatural.

If/when you figure out how to clip an entire seven-season series into AVS scripts without killing Premiere, let me know. All I can come up with right now is actually picking out the clips *in* Vdub, setting up a job control and converting a zillion clips overnight. While this seems imminently doable, it also seems like a guaranteed PITA, lack-of-creativity/motivation *chore*. Plus, I don't think that my creative processing works that way.

Oh yeah. YAY! VID! :)

Yeah, I'm.... kind of afraid of the prospect of loading up all of Buffy.

I suppose one compromise would be to do only specific episodes. Like, one of the vids probably won't use much if anything from S1, and another one will use only selected eps past S3. So I could rip all the .vobs, but then index them differently for different projects. Hmmm.

But yeah, one of the big advantages of .avs is being able to have *everything* rather than having to clip in advance -- which I used to find overwhelming but now really like. Gah.

And I'm not at all surprised to hear that you have Supernatural memorized. *g* Vid! Vid!! Vid!!!

Substitute SPN for Firefly & I think I made the exact same comment to sockkpuppett the other night.

I'm so happy that you are excited & enthusiastic about vidding! And that you're doing Firefly is just extra chocolate sprinkles!!!

*Cheers*

Yay vidding! (And man, I am sorry that your .avs issues ate your project file.)

At the moment I am far more enthusiastic about this vid than I am about any of the work I should be doing for Tuesday. This is thrilling, but not precisely what we could call a good thing. ::facepalm::
