The AP at least, has called the election for the Dems, and CNN and Salon are reporting it so far, though not NPR last I heard.
Add to this Rummy resigning this morning, and Bush's shit-eating speech as he tried to backpedal on his "stay the course" strategy in Iraq, I'm having the best day ever. Feels so good to think maybe the nightmare of total conservative control may be coming to an end.
The parental notification law also lost in California -- even having the proposition on the ballot offended me. And even though Prop 83 passed, the draconian measures to surveil and track former sex offenders, it was overturned in court immediately. Good thing justice somewhere still cares about peoples' rights.
