i am so psyched that Nancy Pelosi is about to become speaker of the house. take that, Bush! San Francisco liberals in the house, with our lattes and volvos and sushi and piercings and playboy parties, aw yeah.
uh, ok, i'll stop with the funny talk now. but seriously, i haven't been this excited about election results in, what, 8 years? 10? bad enough that i'll be 30 before bush is out of the white house. even if we only win back the house, i already feel better. still nervous about the senate race -- it just seems like such an impossible dream for the dems to start winning back some power. either way, i think this means there might be hope after all, and i'd love to see progressive politics further mobilized in this country.
