an allison never forgets
so today went quite a bit better than yesterday. i got to talk to erin last night, so that was goodness. i like hearing from friends i haven't gotten a chance to talk to in forever. today i called around to the places i applied at earlier this week, and got an interview for tomorrow! the guy on the phone sounded really nice, sooooo i probably maybe have a job! i could use to money, but i'm thinking that i could probably use the constructive use of my time thing even more. sitting around the apartment doesn't really help my state of mind a whole lot. there's too much time to think about and overanalyze things, and since i think i probably do that way too much anyways...it doesn't help to have long amounts of time that i can devote specifically for that purpose.
in other news, i drove around the des moines area today...i went over to where i use to live, and the people that own the house now have a huuuuuuge campeign sign for some state senator in the front yard. they also didn't keep up the little decorative pond in front, so now there's a wonderful little marsh. i drove through waukee, where i use to go to school, too. they've really developed the area quite a bit. it was quite the trip down memory lane. it's weird to go back to somewhere and know you don't belong there anymore. it's weird to think of places you use to be, places you still love in your heart, and know you could never be a part of them again...
